San Patricio is a half-mile strip in the middle of the three villages that contains a colorful town square and lots of retail shops. In Costalegre, Jalisco, life is about tranquility and relaxation. Known as the tourist capital of the area, Costalegre is located between Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta, along with two quaint little towns called Barra de Navidad and Melaque. This village, already very popular among Mexicans, has, in recent years, also seen a big increase in the number of international tourists as well.

Melaque is a traditional Mexican coastal town, nestled beside the gorgeous Pacific Ocean, where the sun meets the sea every evening. It is in one of Mexico's most beautiful bays, Bahia de Navidad (Christmas Bay). Here, children can have fun on the beach and enjoy splashing and playing in the ocean. This small town has all the ingredients for a perfect weekend getaway and will definitely ensure you to forget about the hustle and bustle of city life. Melaque, just like the grand majority of Mexican towns, offers a smooth, slow-paced lifestyle perfect for a relaxing vacation. The ocean off Melaque's coast is ideal for swimming and water sports, such as fishing, diving and sailing. The beach has a tranquil family atmosphere, perfect for rest, relaxation and working on your tan.

Villa Obregón is to the east of Calle Alvaro Obregón and is more residential in character. The two villages form the largest coastal community between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo.
